Changes to Vicor Products According to RoHS Environmental Standard

All --Vicor-- modules, including DC/DC transformers and imput/output modules correspond to the requirements of RoHS since January 2006. --Vicor-- offers various types of modules with receptacle pins.

VI-2XX-XX, VI-JXX-XX and VI-AIM, VI-IAM, VI-HAM, VI-RAM First Generation Modules:

  • Names of modules with lead-containing receptacle pins will remain the same.
  • The receptacle pins of the modules in compliance with ecological standard will be covered with tin, and contain no lead. To identifyu the RoHS versions, the names of the modules will change from VI- to VE-.
For instance, item VI-260-CU according to RoHS corresponds to item VE-260-CU.

Delivery is available since mid-January 2006.

2nd generation modules will also be transferred to RoHS.

Long and short receptacle pins may have two coatings: lead and tin and gilding. Please note that modules with only gilded receptacle pins fully correspond to RoHS ecological standard. Due to the fact that during the transfer of the company to RoHS module names of the second generation will remain the same; therefore, in the order please indicate the product version; i.e. show if the module should correspond to RoHS or not.

Configured Systems:

Starting in March 2006 configured systems FlatPACS, ComPACS, PFCMini, MegaPACs and others will fully correspond to RoHS directive requirements. The names will remain the same, therefore, in the order please indicate the product version.

Filters of QPI and QPO family by Picor have corresponded to RoHS since 2005.

The status of the product or the new position number can be looked up in the file.
